Xiaomi was earlier rumored to launch Xiaomi Mix Flip and Mix Fold 4. Finally, the company officially confirmed the moniker as well as the expected launch date. Today, Xiaomi announced that its new generation of smart factories has entered full mass production. The upcoming MIX Fold 4 and MIX Flip will be produced here and also revealed that they will be officially released this month. However, the company didn’t reveal the exact launch date, but the launch date isn’t far away.
In terms of specifications, Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 internally codenamed N18 is expected to carry Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor under the hood. It is understood that this is the current flagship chip from Qualcomm, making it another flagship fold phone from Xiaomi. In terms of battery, the smartphone uses a dual-battery mechanism with 2390mAh + 2485mAh batteries; eventually, the company is likely to market them at 5,000 mAh with 67W fast charging support.
The camera department is likely to adopt a 50-megapixel OV50E main camera + OV13B ultra-wide-angle lens, supported by a 60MP OV60A telephoto lens (2X) + 10MP S5K3K1 ultra-thin periscope telephoto lens (5X), a front 16-megapixel OV16F selfie lens, and a side fingerprint solution. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mix Flip is the company’s 1st generation product, which is also likely to uphold the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It is reported that the phone will use a Leica dual-camera setup. The main camera uses the Light Hunter 800 sensor, which is 1/1.55 inches in size, has 50 million pixels, and supports OIS optical image stabilization.
There is a 60MP OV60A telephoto lens with a sensor size of 1/2.8 inches, a unit pixel area of 0.61μm, and supports 2x optical zoom. The front camera will be a 32MP Howe OV32B sensor.
