Vivo today held a technical communication meeting for the new Blueprint X series of imaging, at which the Blueprint imaging technology was introduced in detail. Through the self-developed Blueprint imaging chip V3+, they jointly form an integrated design of software and hardware for imaging. According to the company’s summary, the Blueprint imaging technology is divided into three major parts: Blueprint sensor technology, Blueprint imaging algorithm matrix, and Blueprint imaging chip.
Self-developed Blueprint Sensor Technology: According to reports, Vivo’s joint research and development team developed an algorithm fully capable of utilizing the potential of the camera sensor. The company has achieved the industry’s first micro-head, group periscope, glass lens, etc.
Blueprint Imaging Algorithm Matrix: Vivo said that in terms of the blueprint imaging algorithm matrix, the core algorithm is 100% self-developed and supports the original image engine, ultra-clear imaging, true color restoration, and computing power acceleration. There are three major systems:
- “Super Sensing Portrait System”
- “Sky Night View System”
- “Fengchi Video System”
Self-developed Blueprint Imaging Chip: At present, Vivo has completed the research and development of Vivo V1, vivo V2, and vivo V3 series of imaging chips. This series of chips is mainly used for computing power acceleration and supports the feature of reducing power consumption.
As we know, we produce camera-oriented smartphones. Hence, this technology can play a vital role in further improving the camera quality of Vivo smartphones. Vivo didn’t confess whether this technology is exclusively available to flagship phones or not.
It is worth noting that Blueprint Imaging was released on May 13 this year and was first installed on the vivo X100 Ultra mobile phone. Han Boxiao, product manager of vivo Communication Technology Co., Ltd., once said that the blueprint image will be transferred to older mobile phones such as vivo X100 Pro.
