Samsung Galaxy Ring Obtains Bluetooth SIG Certificate

Samsung Galaxy Ring Obtains Bluetooth SIG Certificate Carrying 9 variants, including SM-Q500, SM-Q501, SM-Q502, SM-Q503, SM-Q505, SM-Q506, SM-Q507, SM-Q508, and SM-Q509.

Samsung Galaxy Ring was rumored to launch in nine different sizes. Finally, the news seems to be confirmed officially. The Samsung Galaxy Ring gets certified by the Bluetooth SIG website carrying 9 variants with model numbers SM-Q500, SM-Q501, SM-Q502, SM-Q503, SM-Q505, SM-Q506, SM-Q507, SM-Q508, and SM-Q509.

The SM-Q504 variant is missing. Maybe, the company had planned one more variant and later on dismissed its idea due to some reasons. Anyway, the listing further confirms that the Galaxy Ring will come with Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity. As we know, Bluetooth listing doesn’t provide much data, it only confirms the Bluetooth version. Hence, we have to wait for more information.

It is worth mentioning that the Galaxy Ring will be the first Samsung device to adopt the new “SM-Q” sequence. Prior to this, Samsung wearables had model numbers starting with “SM-R.” For example, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earphones have the model number “SM-R510” and the 40mm Galaxy Watch 6 has the model number “SM-R930”.

Furthermore, the Galaxy Ring is expected to be unveiled in July together with Samsung’s new sixth-generation foldable phone. The product can be used for 5-9 days on a single charge and has a variety of built-in sensors that can track the user’s blood oxygen saturation and sleep status. It is reported that the Galaxy Ring can also track heart rate, steps, and exercise status. All in all, Samsung seems to be very optimistic about the Galaxy Ring’s future.
