Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new smartphone named Redmi K70 Ultra AKA K70 Extreme Edition. It has been part of numerous leaks and rumors in the past couple of months. Today, a device with model number 2407FRK8EC has been spotted on Geekbench, expected to Redmi K70 Ultra according to the IMEI database. As per the Geekbench listing, it is powered by an octa-core CPU, including a primary Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.40 GHz, three Cortex-X4 with frequency of 2.85GHz, and four Cortex-A720 operating at 2.0GHz.
Based on the given frequencies, it is none other than the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus processor combined with a Mali-G720-Immortalis MC12 GPU. Apart from that, Geekbench also reveals some other information, such as 16GB RAM running on Android 14 out of the box. Speaking of the benchmarking scores, Redmi K70 Ultra scores 2,218 points in single-core and 7,457 points in multi-core results, indicating strong performance as far as the CPU is concerned.
Based on previous information, the Redmi K70 Ultra is rumored to have a 1.5k resolution resolution, which also includes a 144Hz refresh rate. It packs a 5500 mAh battery along with 120W fast charging support. In terms of optics, the smartphone is likely to have a 50MP Light Hunter 800 primary sensor, and 8MP and 2MP auxiliary cameras paired with Xiaomi’s AI imaging technology. There would be a 20MP front-facing camera for selfies.
Besides, it will have IP68 protection against water and dust surrounded by metal frames and a glass body design. Regarding its launch, the company has already started hinting at an imminent launch. But the exact date is not yet confirmed.
