Xiaomi will launch three phones this month named Xiaomi Mix Flip, and Xiaomi Fold 4, and the last phone comes under its subbrand Redmi called Redmi K70 Ultra. Most of the key specifications are already confirmed by the company. Finally, the company reveals the remaining details, such as storage, battery, and camera.
As per the official posters, the Redmi K70 Ultra will have a 5500 mAh battery, which supports 120W fast charging support. The company already confirms the existence of an IP68 rating. In terms of camera, the phone will support a 50MP Sony IMX906 sensor, while the remaining two sensors are yet to be confirmed. The camera also uses self-developed Xiaomi AISP, an imaging algorithm to improve the camera quality, making it the first Redmi smartphone to adopt this functionality.
Besides, the device also caries Xiaomi Pengpai T1 signal enhancement chip, which according to the company improves WiFi performance by 12%, GPU performance by 20%, and 5G WiFi signals by 58%. In terms of storage, Thomas Wang, GM of Redmi, has confirmed the presence of the 24GB RAM + 1TB storage variant while replying to a question.
Previously, we have learned that the Redmi K70 Ultra will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC combined with a dedicated D1 GPU enhancement chip. The smartphone will have a 1.5k resolution 144Hz OLED flat display and 3840Hz PWM dimming claimed to provide the best dark light eye protection in the industry. Meanwhile, the exact screen size isn’t revealed, but it is developed by the TCL.
Additionally, it is expected to bring an in-display fingerprint scanner for security purposes. In terms of design, the company has already released the official renders by demonstrating front and rear design, which is almost identical to other Redmi 70 series phones. The company has only updated the hardware introducing a new color called Ice Glass. It will be available in three color options: Black, White, and Ice Glass. Eventually, most of the specifications are already revealed. The only thing we are waiting about its launch date, which isn’t far away according to the company’s commitment.
