Xiaomi is rumored to launch its 1st generation “flip” smartphone along with its traditional Mix fold series. These phones are likely to launch later this year. However, nothing is official yet from the company. Today, a new Xiaomi phone with model number 2405CPX3DC passed 3C certification with 67W fast charging support, which is expected to be Xiaomi’s first vertical folding mobile phone MIX Flip as per a reliable Chinese tipster.
The Weibo post further quoted that this particular model doesn’t support satellite communication. But some previous reports claimed there would be a satellite communication variant too.
Furthermore, it is reported that MIX Flip will also adopt the mainstream dual-screen solution, but the secondary screen on the back is small, covering the upper half of the body except for the rear camera. It can be used to display notifications, weather, and other information without having to flip the cover to check every time.
Previous reports also revealed that the Xiaomi MIX Flip folding screen phone will use a Leica dual-camera imaging system placed above the secondary screen and is arranged in a horizontal row.
Among them, the main camera uses the Light Hunter 800 sensor, which is 1/1.55 inches in size, has 50 million pixels, and supports OIS optical image stabilization. There is an OV60A telephoto lens with a sensor size of 1/2.8 inches, a unit pixel area of 0.61μm, and supports 2x optical zoom. The front camera will be a 32MP Howe OV32B sensor.
This device is likely to be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Besides, there is no information available regarding its launch date. But, soon we will hear more about this smartphone.
