Realme is planning to launch a new entry-level 5G smartphone series allegedly named Realme V60 & V60s, according to leaked promo material. The tipster confirms that the Realme V60 carries a model number RMX3995, while the V60s gets RMX3996. The good thing is that both of these smartphones have been already certified by the Chinese authority TEENA by showing most of the key specifications as well as the design. The strange thing is that both smartphones are the same in terms of design & specs. Then why do they have different names? Hopefully, soon the company will clarify it.
According to the TENAA listing, both smartphones are identical in terms of specifications and appearance. In terms of specifications, both phones pack a 6.67-inch TFT display at 720 X 1604p screen resolution, which according to leaked material supports a 120Hz refresh rate. These devices are powered by the 2.4GHz chipset claimed to be MediaTek Dimensity 6300. The chipset brings an octa-core CPU, where two primary Cortex-A76 cores are clocked at 2.4GHz, while the remaining six Cortex-A55 operate at 2.0GHz.
Furthermore, there is a single 32MP camera at the back and another 8MP front-facing snapper to capture selfies. The listed devices pack a 5000 mAh battery, which will be supported by a 10W standard charger according to 3C certification. Other than that, there are multiple storage & RAM variants up to 12GB (4/6/8/12GB) RAM and 512GB (64/128/256/512GB) storage. In terms of dimensions, these smartphones measure 165.6×76.1×7.94 mm and weigh around 192 grams. All the necessary connectivity options are present on both devices, including 5G support.
As shown in the promo image, both devices are likely to get IP64-rated bodies against water and dust resistance. As of now, there is no official confirmation from the company. So, we solely rely on leaked material as far as the name is concerned. Overall, both Realme V60 and V60s seem to be entry-level 5G smartphones.
