Huawei Nova Flip specs leaked ahead of official launch

Huawei is all set to launch its first flip phone under the Nova series, dubbed Huawei Nova Flip. The launch event is scheduled for August 5 at 19:00 CST in China. The company has already revealed the full design side by side. Subsequently, some configurations were also revealed, such as a 50MP primary camera, 6.88mm thickness, and Hongmeng AI fun play. According to the Digital Chat Station, the Nova Flip phone will have a 6.94-inch LTPO primary display at 120Hz refresh rate and 1136 x 2690p screen resolution. On the outer side, there is another small 2.14-inch OLED display bringing a 60Hz refresh rate. The external display can be utilized for multiple functions.

In terms of optics, the phone carries a 50MP, 1/1.56″ f/1.9 RYYB rear camera combined with an 8MP ultrawide sensor. The front side is surrounded by a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies. The phone is said to bring a Kirin 9 series 5G chip under the hood. However, the exact processor name can’t be confirmed at present.

Apart from that, it packs a 4400 mAh non-removable battery with 66W fast charging support. There are multiple memory options with up to 12GB RAM and 256/512GB, 1TB storage options. In terms of thickness, the phone is likely to remain 15.08mm in a plain folded state and 15.12mm glass folded state. Meanwhile, the company has already confirmed 6.88mm thickness when unfolded.

Regarding the weight, it should weigh around 195g for the leather variant and 199g for the glass variant. The phone is already up for reservation arriving in four color options: New Green, Sakura Pink, Zero White, and Starry Black.
