Earlier today, we reported about Honor’s upcoming smartphone Honor Play 60 Plus. Finally, the company’s official teaser confirms its launch date. The device will be up for pre-sale from June 24 in China. It is understood that this smartphone will be restricted to only China’s domestic market. Hence, there is no chance for its global launch. The device is likely to arrive with IP64 certification against water & dust resistance along with dual speakers, which according to the company, are 300% louder than its predecessor.
Most of the remaining specifications are already confirmed through the China Telecom library listing. Likewise, the smartphone is equipped with a 6.77-inch LCD panel at 720 x 1610p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset combined with Adreno 613 to handle graphics-intensive tasks. The CPU consists of two Cortex-A78 @2.2GHz performance cores and four Cortex-A55 @1.95GHz energy efficiency cores.
There is a dual camera setup at the rear with 50MP primary sensory combined with another 2MP sensor. The front side is surrounded by a 5MP hole-punch camera to take selfies. In addition to that, there is a large 6000 mAh battery supported by a 35W fast charging adapter. The smartphone runs on Android 14 out of the box based on Honor’s custom UI MagicOS 8.0. It offers 12GB + 256G/512GB memory options. There is an additional 8GB virtual RAM, which isn’t much useful if you are considering it as a RAM option.
The device dimensions are 166.9×76.8×8.09mm, weighing around 197 grams. It will be launched with at least three color options, including Phantom Black, Wonderland Green, and Moonlight White. In terms of pricing, the smartphone is likely to be priced at around 1500 CNY, roughly converted into $205.
