Motorola officially holds a launch event on June 25, where its upcoming foldable series will be announced in China. The new foldable series brings two new smartphones named Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra, whereas, it will be called Razr 2024 and Razr+ 2024 for the USA market.
Ahead of its official launch, a leaked promotional video of Razr+ 2024 has been spotted on Social Media X showing the phone from various angles and focusing on the telephoto lens & Moto AI features. This is quite rare to have a meaningful Telephoto lens on a foldable phone. The last generation Moto Razr 40 had an ultrawide sensor instead of a Telephoto.
According to the video information, the Razr 50 Ultra phone supports IPX8 level waterproofing, while the previous generation supports IP52 level waterproofing, which greatly improves the waterproof performance. Most of the remaining specifications are already confirmed through certification and other unofficial sources.
In terms of specifications, the Razr 50 Ultra AKA Razr+ 2024 will be equipped with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset combined with Adreno 735 GPU under the hood. It features a 6.9-inch OLED display at 165Hz refresh rate and 1080x2640p screen resolution. The display is also SGS low blue light & SGS low motion blur certified. There is a 4-inch secondary cover display at 1080p x 1272p resolution.
Furthermore, the smartphone boasts a dual camera setup at the rear with 50MP + 50MP sensors, while a 32MP selfie shooter surrounds the front side. There is a 4000 mAh battery with 68W fast charging support. The smartphone measures 171.4×73.9×7.0mm and weighs around 190 grams. There are multiple storage and RAM variants with up to a whopping 18GB RAM and 1TB of storage. Overall, all the configurations are confirmed. We are just waiting for its price, which will be revealed on June 25.
