OnePlus is gearing up to launch its highly-anticipated smartphone named OnePlus Ace 3 Pro. Today, OnePlus officially announced the Glacier Battery jointly developed with CATL. The company also confirmed that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro will be the first smartphone to adopt this new technology. Subsequently, its teaser also reveals its launch to happen next week. However, the exact date is not yet confirmed.
Speaking of the Glacier Battery, it has the industry-leading energy density of 763Wh/L based on silicon-carbon negative electrode, which is 23.1% higher than ordinary graphite batteries. Officials stated that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro DOU battery life test exceeded 2 days, which is an extraordinary claim for a flagship smartphone.
The battery capacity is also confirmed to be 6100 mAh with 100W fast charging support. According to the company, 100W Super Flash Charge only takes 36 minutes to charge the 6100mAh glacier battery from 1% to 100%. More importantly, with the support of 100W flash charging and glacier battery, you can play games for 2 hours or watch videos for 3.5 hours after charging for 5 minutes. The company also confirmed the exclusive GPU enhancements to improve the gaming experience.
Apart from that, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It is expected to have a 6.78-inch 1.5k LTPO curved display at 1264 x 2780p resolution. The optics department is handled by a 50MP primary sensor + 8MP + 2MP sensors. There will be a 16MP selfie shooter. The camera specs are identical to the standard OnePlus Ace 3.
A recently leaked box also confirmed memory options to be at least 16GB RAM + 512GB storage. Rumors also suggest that storage can go as high as 1TB. Overall, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is a powerful smartphone with a long-lasting battery.
