Huawei is going to launch its first flip phone under the Nova series dubbed as Huawei Nova Flip. It is understood that it is a mid-range flip-screen phone and the company will launch it on August 5 in China. The company has already revealed its design from all corners along with some configurations. We have a full set of configurations gathered from official and unofficial sources. The only suspense was its processor, which is now disclosed through Geekbench listing.
A device with model number PSD-AL00, suspected to be Huawei Nova Flip, has been spotted on the popular benchmarking platform Geeekbench. According to the listing, the smartphone will have an octa-core chip, where the primary core is clocked at 2.40GHz, three mid-cores are clocked at 2.19GHz and the remaining four power-efficient cores operate at 1.84GHz. When digging deep, we found its GPU, which is Mali-G610. The same chipset was used on the Huawei Nova 12 with an unofficial name given as Kirin 810. Whatever name you call, this is a mid-range chip belonging to the Kirin 8 series.
Besides, the provided SoC scored 985 points in single-core and 2,406 points in multi-core results. The tested device was running on Android 12, but the company will use the self-developed HarmonyOS. Furthermore, the tested variant brings 12GB of RAM. Based on previous information, the Huawei Nova Flip will have a 6.94-inch LTPO primary display at 120Hz refresh rate and 1136 x 2690p screen resolution. The outer side will include a smaller 2.14-inch OLED display bringing a 60Hz refresh rate.
The camera department is handled by a 50MP, 1/1.56″ f/1.9 RYYB rear camera combined with an 8MP ultrawide sensor. There is a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies. The phone accumulates a 4400 mAh non-removable battery with 66W fast charging support. Regarding the memory, it has multiple options available with up to 12GB RAM and 256/512GB, 1TB storage options. The phone is already up for reservation arriving in four color options: New Green, Sakura Pink, Zero White, and Starry Black.
