The company also confirmed 226g weight, 50W wireless charging, 5x periscope, IPX8 certification, and two-way satellite communication.
Xiaomi has already confirmed launching as many as three smartphones this month: Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, Xiaomi Mix Flip, and Redmi K70 Ultra. Earlier, the company didn’t confirm the exact launch date. Finally, the announcement came for the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, which is the most anticipated phone on the list. The foldable phone will be officially announced on July 19 at 7 CST in China. The published video teaser shows this device from multiple angles.
The official video teaser shows the full front and rear design revealing the full appearance of Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. It is evident that the phone will be lightweight and thin. The middle frame is very thin when unfolded. The overall thickness is expected to be 9.X mm, which is rumored to be the thinnest foldable in Xiaomi’s history. Apart from that, the phone adopts a new design, which is different from previous generations. The bottom of the rear camera module is slightly curved, making it more recognizable. The camera module also confirms the presence of a quad-camera setup. The volume rockers are placed on the right side.
Regarding the specs, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is rumored to pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. In terms of battery, the smartphone uses a dual-battery mechanism with 2390mAh + 2485mAh batteries; eventually, the company is likely to market them at 5,000 mAh with 67W fast charging support.
The camera department is likely to adopt a 50-megapixel OV50E main camera + 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, supported by a 60MP OV60A telephoto lens (2X) + 10MP S5K3K1 ultra-thin periscope telephoto lens (5X), a front 16-megapixel OV16F selfie lens, and a side fingerprint solution. It also supports a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security purposes. The phone also comes with an IPX8 rating for extra protection against water.
