Yesterday, we reported about the arrival of the new Nubia flagship or multiple flagships. Today, another confirmation came from the company for Nubia Z60 Ultra “Leading Edtion”, which will debut on July 23 in China. At the same time, the company also confirmed its processor, which is none other than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Edition.
It is understood that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Edition is an overclocked variant of the standard 8 Gen 3 chip with an extra 100MHz increase in CPU as well additional 100MHz in GPU. It comprises a maximum 3.4GHz CPU frequency and 1GHz GPU clock speed. Overall, it is slightly more powerful than the standard variant both in terms of CPU & GPU. Lately, the company introduced its gaming-oriented Red Magic 9s Pro series using the same chip.
Speaking of the Nubia Z60 Leading Edition’s specs, nothing is confirmed except the processor. However, it is likely to retain most of the specifications from the original ZTE Nubia Z60 Ultra. A bunch of new AI features are expected as it is the key highlight of the event.
For reference, Nubia Z60 Ultra arrived with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display at 1116 x 2480p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It supports a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor + 64MP periscope telephoto lens and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. The front side adopts a 12MP in-display camera, allowing it a full-screen design. It packs a 6,000 mAh battery combined with 80W wired charging support. An in-display fingerprint scanner is present for security purposes. All the essential connectivity options are available featuring the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Overall, it is a full-fledged flagship phone offering top-class performance in all aspects.
