[Update] Realme GT 6 Chinese variant brings different design and specifications

Realme's official Weibo handle shared some official images of upcoming Realme GT 6 Chinese variant, which is significantly diffeerent than Indian variant in terms of design and specs.

Update: The rear side turned out to be the Realme GT2, Not the GT 6 Chinese version. Misconception happened due to machine-translated text.

Realme is set to bring its flagship smartphone, Realme GT 6, to the Chinese market. The company has already confirmed its launch anytime in July month. Ahead of its official launch, the company’s official Weibo handle published some render images, exposing both the front and rear sides. However, the smartphone is already available in the Indian market. But the Chinese variant is completely different going with the current exposure.

Starting with the front side, there is a flat panel instead of a curved one on the Indian variant. The punch-hole camera is still there for selfies. The volume rockers surround the right side along with the power key. Overall, there are little to no similarities looking at the front side.

Now, glimpsing at the back, some noticeable changes are present there. The smartphone is likely to carry the same camera mechanism with a 50MP primary followed by a 50MP telephoto lens + an 8MP ultra-wide sensor; although we can’t confirm it at this time. The flashlight position has changed. There are multiple flashlights positioned above the camera lens and another one at the bottom side of the lens. When we look closely, the phone seems to carry a leathery texture, which according to the company is the “world’s first bio-based material design” (machine translated).

Furthermore, the Realme GT 6 Chinese version is speculated to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, more powerful than the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 used on the Indian variant. Additionally, the Realme GT 6 Chinese version is rumored to carry a larger battery than the Indian one, metal frames, 100W fast charging support, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. It is expected to incorporate up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM along with 1TB of storage. The display panel is said to have a 1.5K 8T LTPO OLED screen at a 144Hz refresh rate. Overall, it is a complete flagship smartphone, which will make its debut anytime next month.
