Samsung is about to release its next generation Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the coming months. Lately, we have covered the hands-on appearance of Galaxy Z Fold6. This time, the same smartphone is exposed again in a hands-on video comparing side-by-side design of Galaxy Z Fold5 and Fold6, giving a more precise look. Apparently, it is a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 dummy unit based on unofficial rendering.
As shown in the video, the camera module is changed, but still, there are three vertically aligned cameras at the back. Speaking of the changes, the camera module seems more refined with fewer bezels around the corners. There are sharper corners and a more pointed display radius on the Fold6, which reminds us much of the Galaxy S24 Ultra more than it does of Samsung’s past foldable.
Looking at the front, there is a punch-hole camera in the middle, similar to the Fold5. Furthermore, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a wider cover screen, meaning when you open the phone, the inner display is wider. It will apparently improve the typing experience on the cover screen, but it also means that the inner screen has a flatter aspect ratio. The tipster also compared the weight, which makes Fold6 lighter than its predecessor. The newer one weighs around 239g compared to 253g for Fold5. Overall, the Galaxy Fold6 is wider and lighter than its predecessor.
Speaking of specifications, it is understood that Galaxy Fold6 will adopt flagship specifications, such as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and, a more refined camera, and also likely to cost more than Fold 5. Speculations have it to arrive in navy, silver phantom, and pink color variants. In terms of launch, Samsung holds a launch event in July month to launch multiple Samsung devices, including Galaxy Fold6.
